Creating something cute and pretty from scratch or used materials is one of my favorite hobbies. I remember my mom always calls me a “garbage collector” when I was a kid because I love to keep her trash as long as I know I can do something with it. Then there comes the era of washi tapes! When designing is just a stick away. You can be fun and creative as you wish. But you know what’s the best part of loving arts and crafts? It’s knowing your purpose. Why are you doing it?

A few months ago I was contacted by Crafty Hattie for a collaboration. The fact that they sell materials like washies, designed paper bags, and all cute stuff caught my attention, but you know what really made me interested for this project?

Crafty Hattie is not your ordinary online store. It was built with love for crafts and the purpose to help. They are currently sponsoring 2 kids via World Vision PH and conducting weekly feeding program for the people in need like our countrymen in Roxas City Capiz (a town hit by Yolanda Typhoon) . I really admire their passion for art and their heart to the needy.

Some of the items they sell are biodegradable party supplies made with food grade high quality materials. They also have aper boxes, flat paper gift bags, scrapbook materials from Project Life Collection Core Kit, and washi tapes.

They also join bazaars! In fact, they will be present at The Attic Bazaar on February 22nd – 23rd, SMX Convention Hall 3! It feels so great to shop knowing that you’re not just happy with the items you get BUT you are also able to help through Crafty Hattie’s fund raising programs.

Crafty Hattie sent me a paper box and some washi tapes and I made something that you can definitely recreate!

I really appreciate shops that put effort on their packaging. It’s really a plus for me.

Washi Tapes for my simple but pretty project.

TADA! Instant pretty paper box! You can create something prettier than this for sure. Sky is the limit to decor!

All you need are the tapes then scissors or cutter / craft knife. I made this in less than an hour while working.

You can put whatever you like. Since I don’t have any decent container for my lipsticks, here you go, my Lipsticks’ bag!

You can also put your make-ups, jewelries, hair accessories, and more!

Changing the design is a breeze with washi tapes.

I’m really happy with my lipstick bag! ^_^ I’m also thinking to redesign it when I have some free time.
