SNSD’s ‘I Got A Boy’ MV Chosen as YTMA Video of the Year

The only KPOP/ korean group that was nominated as the Video of the Year won in the first Youtube Music Awards which is the Girl's Generation for their MV "I got a boy". Other nominees are Miley Cyrus, “We Can’t Stop”; Justin Bieber (feat. Nicki Minaj), “Beauty and a Beat”; Lady Gaga, “Applause”; One Direction, “Best Song Ever”; PSY, “Gentleman”; Macklemore & Ryan Lewis (feat. Mary Lambert) “Same Love”; Demi Lovato, “Heart Attack”; Selena Gomez, “Come & Get It”; Epic Rap Battles Of History, “Barack Obama vs Mitt Romney.”


Finally! I sooooper dooper love their video "I got a boy" One of my favorite MV of SNSD. I voted for this video and I've been waiting for this.I was so happy they won. Proud SONE here <3 Next is the MAMA 2013! Goodluck girls!!! ^_^ DAEBAK!

Congratulations also to my favorite artist, Taylor Swift who won YouTube Phenomenon — Songs that Generated Most Fan Videos — for “I Knew You Were Trouble”


After being released on January 1, Girls’ Generation won big at the end of the year with its I Got a Boy music video at the first Youtube Music Awards.


On November 4, SNSD was named the winner of the YTMA Video fo the Year at the Youtube Music Awards at New York’s Pier 36. 

Tiffany was present to accept the award on behalf of the group. In fluent English, she said, “Thank you so much. This is absolutely beautiful. Youtube is my best friend. Is Youtube your best friend?”


She continued, “To be here at the first ever Youtube Music Award is a treat itself, but to win the Video of the Year, this is absolutely unexpected and exciting and altogether humbling at the same time.”

She thanked SM Entertainment, the SNSD members, and the fans, who made the moment possible.
